Birthday Special: 'Prince of Tollywood' Mahesh Babu

Mahesh Babu, popularly known as the superstar of South films and Prince of
Tollywood, is celebrating his 47th birthday today i.e. on August 9. Mahesh
Babu, who started his career as a child artist, was born in 1975 in Chennai. He
graduated in commerce from Loyola College, Chennai. After graduation,
Mahesh Babu met director L Satyanand for acting training and his training
lasted for three to four months. Mahesh started his acting career at the
age of just four. He worked as a child artist in the 1979 film Needa. After
working as a child artist in 8 films, he started as a lead actor in 1999 with
the film Rajakumaroodu.

Interestingly, Mahesh Babu do not know how to read and write Telugu. He memorizes his dialogues and then speaks. For his acting, he has won eight Nandi Awards, five Filmfare South Awards, four South Indian International Movie Awards, three Cinema Awards and one IIFA Utsav Award. Married after dating for five years
Mahesh Babu had decided to marry each other after dating Namrata for five years. Giving the name of their love-filled relationship, they married on 10 February 2005 and became husband and wife. Namrata had already decided that she would say goodbye to her film career after marriage and she did that. Namrata has been Miss India in 1993 and she had also worked in some Bollywood films. Namrata was last seen in the film Insaaf The Justice. She made her Bollywood debut in 1998 with the film Jab Pyaar Se Hota Hai opposite Salman Khan.
