King of the stock market and veteran billionaire businessman Rakesh Jhunjhunwala passed away on Sunday. He breathed his last at the age of 62. He was also known as the Warren Buffett of India. Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital has confirmed his death. Jhunjhunwala was discharged from the hospital three weeks ago and had come home. A few days back, he started Akasa Airlines. Everyone is shocked by the news of Jhunjhunwala's death. PM Modi has also condoled the death of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala.


Condoling the death of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, PM Narendra Modi tweeted a photo and wrote, 'Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was a great person. He was full of life, cheerful and practical. In this way, he has left behind an indelible contribution to the financial world. He was also very combative for the development and progress of India. His death is saddened. My condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.'

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's Akasa Airlines Company is in well known to provide facilities to passengers at low rates. His airline has got No Objection Certificate from the Ministry of Civil Aviation.His first Akasa Airlines plane took off from Mumbai to Ahmedabad on 7 August. He started this company along with aviation businessmen Aditya Ghosh and Vinay Dubey.


Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was born on July 5, 1960 in Hyderabad, Telangana. He studied Chartered Accountant. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala is called the expert (King) of Indian stock market. He had invested in many big companies. Apart from the stock market, he also tried his hand in the film sector. Since Rakesh Jhunjhunwala had an affinity for Bollywood, he also produced some films. The films English Vinglish, Shamitabh and Ki & Ka were produced on his behalf.
