Anna Hazare said to Kejriwal- you are now power hungry

Social reformer and anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare on Tuesday wrote a letter to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, criticizing Delhi's excise policy and accusing him of being power hunger.

He said, 'You (Arvind Kejriwal) wrote a book 'Swaraj' before entering politics. You requested me to wrote the introduction. In your book, you talked about Gram Sabha and liquor policy. I want to remind you of what you wrote. Hazare further said in the letter, “You had written many ideal things in the book, and I was having high hopes from you.” But, it seems you have forgotten those words after joining politics and becoming Chief Minister. The new excise policy that you have made encourages the habit of alcohol addiction. With this policy, liquor shops are opening in every corner of the state. As a result, it will promote corruption which is not in favor of the public, and still you have decided to bring such a policy.

Anna Hazare said in the letter, Just as there is an intoxication of alcohol, so is the hunger for power. You too are intoxicated with such power, it seems. Reminding Kejriwal of the Team Anna meeting held on September 18, 2012, Hazare said, "You forgot that forming a political party was not the intention of our movement. He said, "Looking at the Delhi excise policy, it seems that the party which was formed after ending the historic agitation has gone on the same path which other parties are following, which is a very regrettable thing."

I am writing this letter because we first banned alcohol in Ralegansiddhi village. Then many times agitations were done to have good liquor policy in Maharashtra. Due to the movement, a law of prohibition of liquor was made, in which if 51 percent women in a village and city vote in favor of a ban on alcohol, then it will be implemented. He further wrote in the letter, "This type of policy was expected by the Delhi government as well. But you didn't do that. You people are also seems trapped in the vicious cycle of money to power and power to money like other parties. This does not suit a political party born out of a major movement.
